The proper response to interactions in the scope of spatial planning, to maintain, plan and design for today and tomorrow is to follow the sustainable principles. Sustainable spatial planning and spatial management is essential for sustainable business and sustainable economic growth. Integrated approach is necessary and essential. The goal in this process is to link together all the appropriate factors, departments/bodies in the public sector, public enterprises, private companies (PPP) and other stakeholders to follow the principles of sustainable spatial planning. The public sector has the key role in this process. The participants of the training programme will visit the most important institutions in this field such as Urban planning Institute of the Republic of Slovenia, Directorate for Spatial Planning, University and others. The programme can be customised in two ways, firstly, sustainable spatial planning management which is spatial-urban planning with principles of sustainable development management and governance focus for Local Governments and national authorities; and, secondly, the basis of settlements planning which is spatial planing, environmental protection, cultural heritage and public-communal infrastructure focus for Public Utility Companies and public administration
