ICPE and KEN signed collaboration

On Tuesday, 2 August 2011 ICPE has signed a collaboration agreement with the Knowledge Economy Network (KEN). End of 2010, KEN was established and is now registered in Brussels as a non-profit association. KEN is committed to contribute in strengthening knowledge economy and competitiveness by providing good service to its members worldwide. Together with the Municipality of Maribor and the Slovenian Government Office for Local Self-Government and Regional Policy, the annual Knowledge Economy Forumis organized in early June.

The focus of collaboration is on improving public sector governance and management. The knowledge component (skills, good practice, training, etc.) is an important, horizontal aspect of ICPE programme of activites. KEN is focusing on improving performance through upgrading human capital through education and training, R&D, innovation and entrepreneurship.
