Visit of Prof. Dr Jan Pronk at ICPE

ICPE Director General Dr. Štefan Bogdan Šalej, ICPE Council‘s Honorary President Dr. Anton Vratuša and Director of ECPD International Institute for Sustainable Development, Urban Planning and Environmental Studies Dr. Janez Podobnik met Prof. Dr. Jan Pronk from the Netherlands at ICPE headquarters on 26 September 2011. Prof. Dr. Pronk previously hold the position twice of the Minister for Development Co-operation, once of the Minister of Housing, Spatial Planning and Environment, various top positions in the UN system as well as giving lectures as Professor in various universities of the Netherlands.

Dr. Šalej presented refocused and extended scope of ICPE activities, including long-term and short-term training programmes, MBA as well as the most current event, namely High Level Meeting on State Ownership Authorities which took place on 5-6 September 2011 in Ljubljana, its importance and outcomes that been followed by Dr. Vratuša and Dr. Podobnik presentation on environmental activities that ICPE and ECPD Institute carry together in cooperation. The both sides agreed on the future cooperation in the fields of development, environment and responsible entrepreneurship.
