Director General Dr Štefan Bogdan Šalej meets Economic Counsellor of the Republic of Cuba and Cuban business representatives

Tuesday, September 20, Director General Dr Štefan Bogdan Šalej welcomed in ICPE Lic Salvador Cabeiro Quintana, Economic Counsellor in Embassy of the Republic of Cuba in Vienna, and representatives from business sector Ms Marisabel González Hernández, director of Cuban Tourist Office based in Frankfurt, Germany, and Prof. Borut Uršič, director general of Travel Agency in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

The meeting focused on Cuba’s, as the founding country of ICPE, future collaboration with ICPE and, secondly, the promotion and enhancement of the relations between Slovenia and Cuba in the areas of business and education, including scientific research and students exchange in the long term.

The Cuban delegation emphasised the importance and involvement of the governmental officers as well as new generation of entrepreneurs with vision in creating more productive and efficient enterprises that can contribute significantly to the improvement of life quality of the Cuban population. Therefore, ICPE is viable partner not only in bringing knowledge and experiences of 35 years but also in presenting best practice cases that all together can help to ensure the economic transformation process would be made in the line with the highest up-to-date standards and multiple benefits to the country.
