On Tuesday, 2 october 2012 the Acting Director General Mr Podobnik held a meeting with Mr Florent Samba, President of the Slovenian Branch of the International Francophone forum and Dr Benjamin Lukman, Ambassador and former ICPE Director General.
The main topics of the meeting were regarding cooperation of the forum with ICPE. Mr Samba presented his activities and briefly described his work in Gabon, where he was working and seen much public interest regarding education of public servants. Mr Samba originates from Sudan, where Mutual cooperation would allow public officials from African countries to be educated through either short-term or long term educational programs. He was also interested in other activities by ICPE, namely the consulting program on Hospital efficiency.
The representatives of the the International Francophone forum will look into the interested countries on the African continent and provide them with solutions on Public Enterprises, conducted by ICPE.
A brief discussion was held about a more broad Economic diplomacy of the Republic of Slovenia, which could connect more with the African countries, especially the member countries of the ICPE with official French speaking population, such as Congo and Democratic Republic of Congo.
