ICPE Council President and DPE Secretary visited ICPE

On Tuesday, 22 April 2014, ICPE Council President and Secretary, Department of Public Enterprises, Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises, Ms. Kusumjit Sidhu, together with the Joint Secretary, Mr Ashok K. Pavadia, Department of Public Enterprises, Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises, Government of India, visited the International Center for Promotion of Enterprises. The delegates of the ICPE’s biggest member state, Republic of India, are visiting Slovenia from 21 – 25 April 2014.

At the outset of the meeting with the ICPE team, Mr. Janez Podobnik, ICPE Acting Director General, welcomed the delegates at the ICPE Headquarters. Mr. Podobnik shortly presented all activities and projects implemented by ICPE since June 2013 which were in the line with Program activities and priorities that have been presented at the last ICPE Council Session as well as with the Activities Plan 2014.

Ms. Sidhu, ICPE Council President, stressed the importance of preparing concrete projects and trainings for Member states countries as well as the reactivation of the cooperation with the non-active Member states. Ms. Sidhu welcomed the renewed International MBA program and expressed her hope that there would be more MBA students during the next academic year, not only from India and Slovenia, but other (MS) countries as well. Secretary also visited the International MBA students during their lecture at ICPE. The meeting was followed by a lunch gathering.

During her visit Ms Sidhu will also meet with the high representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Education, Science and Sport and Ministry of Finance.
