On 28 October 2014 the International Center for Promotion of Enterprises (ICPE) together with the Club of Former Slovenian Ambassadors and the Slovenian Association for International Relations organized a public lecture of the President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia, Dr. Milan Brglez at the ICPE headquarters.
The lecture bearing the title »The Priorities of the Slovenian Foreign Policy« was attended by over one hundred participants - including the representatives of the Slovenian national institutions, diplomatic corps and academia - and it aimed to acquaint the audience with the main directions along which the Slovenian foreign policy will focus in the coming period.
Dr. Brglez underlined the fact that the Slovenian foreign policy is exercised for the benefit of Slovenia’s citizens by taking into account Slovenia’s activities and obligations in the international arena and that diplomacy remains the main means for implementing the Slovenian foreign policy. In that regard the Slovenian diplomacy represents Slovenia’s national and common interests. Slovenian foreign policy has an important role in the support and active cooperation in the shaping of the binding international standards of human rights protection. Another key task of Slovenia’s foreign policy refers to the creation of economic opportunities.
