The International Center for Promotion of Enterprises (ICPE) participated in the Regional Development Forum for Europe (RDF-EUR) 2025, held on 24 February 2025 in Budapest, Hungary. The Forum, organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) at the invitation of the National Media and Infocommunications Authority of Hungary, provided a platform for engagement between ITU, Member States, Sector Members, and key stakeholders in telecommunications and ICT. Discussions focused on strengthening regional and international partnerships to address connectivity, digital transformation, and ICT development.
The event featured four roundtable discussions on:
- Digital Development – Trends, Challenges, and Opportunities
- Infrastructure Development for Universal Connectivity
- Partner2Connect – Fostering Development Partnerships
- Implementation of ITU Regional Initiatives for Europe
As an ITU-D Sector Member since 2012, ICPE was represented by Dr. Nenad Stankovic, ICPE Representative in Vienna. He engaged in discussions with Dr. Cosmas Luckyson Zavazava, Director of ITU’s Telecommunication Development Bureau (BDT), Mr. Jaroslaw Ponder, Head of the ITU Office for Europe, and other high-level delegates. These exchanges reaffirmed the shared commitment to enhancing cooperation, particularly in advancing the five regional initiatives adopted at WTDC-22 in Kigali, Rwanda, covering:
- Connectivity
- Digital Transformation
- Digital Inclusion
- Cybersecurity
- Innovation
ICPE remains dedicated to fostering collaboration with ITU and its Member States to support sustainable ICT development. The next ITU World Telecommunication Development Conference (WTDC) will take place in Baku, Azerbaijan, from 17 to 28 November 2025, offering further opportunities for engagement.
