The International Center for Promotion of Enterprises (ICPE) held an online coordination meeting with representatives of the SAARC Agriculture Centre (SAC) to explore potential areas of cooperation in agricultural development and technology transfer across SAARC Member States.
The discussion focused on possible collaboration in areas such as water management and reuse, climate-smart agriculture, antimicrobial resistance in farming practices, biotechnology applications, and agri-entrepreneurship development. ICPE presented its process in facilitating technology transfer and designing project-based cooperation, while SAC outlined its mandate to support regional agricultural initiatives through capacity building, training programmes, and multi-country projects.
Both organizations expressed interest in exchanging project proposals and programme information as a first step towards identifying concrete areas for collaboration. It was agreed to reconvene in January to review shared materials and explore opportunities for joint projects, training activities, and expert participation.
