Investment and Partnership Opportunities in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Jable Castle, Mengeš — 11 December 2025

The International Center for Promotion of Enterprises (ICPE), in cooperation with the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency (FIPA), the Foreign Trade Chamber of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FTC), and the Chamber of Craft and Small Business of Slovenia (OZS) is organizing a dedicated event entitled “Potentials of Bosnia and Herzegovina: Business Environment, Investments, Trade and Partnerships.”

The conference will serve as a platform for strengthening economic cooperation between Slovenia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, bringing together entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers, chambers of commerce, and business institutions from both countries. It will provide a comprehensive overview of investment, trade, and partnership opportunities, encouraging dialogue and direct collaboration across priority sectors.

Participants will have the opportunity to explore the current business and investment climate in Bosnia and Herzegovina, learn about available incentives, taxation frameworks, and infrastructure development initiatives. The programme will include the presentation of selected foreign direct investment projects with high development potential, followed by structured B2B meetings that will enable participants to build new business relationships and discuss potential joint ventures.

Slovenia and Bosnia and Herzegovina have enjoyed a long-standing tradition of economic cooperation, rooted in mutual understanding, geographical proximity, and shared cultural ties. In 2024, bilateral trade reached EUR 1.732 billion, placing Bosnia and Herzegovina among Slovenia’s top fifteen trading partners. Despite its ongoing structural adjustments and import dependency, Bosnia and Herzegovina represents a dynamic transitional market offering significant opportunities for investment and cooperation, particularly in agriculture, energy, information technology, and construction. For Slovenian companies, Bosnia and Herzegovina remains an appealing and strategically important destination due to its open investment environment, skilled workforce, and accessibility to regional markets. The event aims to further stimulate cross-border business cooperation, foster knowledge exchange, and promote sustainable economic partnerships that contribute to the prosperity of both nations.

Participation is free of charge, and prior registration is required by 8 December 2025 via the online registration form. The event will be held in Slovenian and Bosnian language.
