EU Grant Opportunity for Agricultural Digital Solutions (ADS)
ICPE invites its member states to forward this opportunity to relevant authorities, SMEs, startups, and research organizations. This grant supports innovative digital solutions aiming to democratize digital farming by improving agricultural productivity, sustainability, and economic viability through advanced digital technologies.
Eligible applicants must apply as small consortia (ADS provider and end-user) and engage actively with local stakeholders.
Key Details of the Programme
- Objective
Support co-creation and testing of innovative digital solutions (ADS) for sustainable agriculture. - Budget
Up to €100,000 per consortium, with no single party receiving more than €60,000. - Duration: 18 months (Develop, Deploy, Scale phases).
- Scope
Solutions targeting crop disease detection, animal behavior and health monitoring, smart irrigation, fertilization management, soil and weather analysis, farm management automation, biodiversity, and supply chain automation. - TRL Requirements
Solutions should start at TRL 4 and reach at least TRL 6 by project completion. - Participants & Demonstration
Projects should demonstrate real-world validation with active stakeholder participation. - Upscaling Plan
Include roadmap addressing barriers (regulatory, market) and strategies for medium-term impact.

Evaluation involves remote expert assessment on Concept Feasibility (25%), Technological Innovation (25%), Potential Impact (25%), and Organizational Capacity (25%).
Independent panel reviews ensure transparency and fairness.
Funding Disbursement
- Total budget: €900,000 allocated for 9 consortia.
- Payment schedule:
- 30% at Phase 1 (Develop),
- 50% at Phase 2 (Deploy),
- 20% at Phase 3 (Scale).
