ICPE-ISTM JOINT TRAINING PROGRAMME TO BE RELAUNCHED

The engagement of ICPE with the Institute of Secretariat Training & Management (ISTM) which had remained stalled for three years will be restarted. This was decided in a high level meeting between ICPE, Director of ISTM Mr Umesh Kumar and the highest Government of India official in charge of training, Mr Pramod Das on 30th April 2015 at ISTM campus in New Delhi, India. ISTM is a 67 year old institution that provides training to officers of India’s Central Secretariat up to the rank of Deputy Secretary and Director. These officers specialise in policy making and will benefit from interaction with EU institutions. A batch of 30 officers will be trained at
ICPE for two weeks this year. This relaunch is the result of efforts made by Mr Chandan Mukherjee of ISTM and Ms Sara Arko of ICPE.
