As a follow-up to the ICPE-ITU workshop on Digital Entrepreneurship in Ljubljana last year, ICPE Director General, Dr Anand Asthana and ICPE Representative for Austria & Switzerland, Mr Nenad Stankovic, paricipated in the ITU Regional Workshop for Europe and CIS on eHealth development, held in Odessa (Ukraine) on 18th and 19th October 2018. This event International Telecommunication Union (ITU) organized in cooperation with the National Academy of Telecommunications of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, with participation from Austria, Belarus, Greece, Iran, Kyrgyz Republic, Moldova, Slovenia, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine and Japan. ICPE informed the participants that it considers building human capacity in the field of e-health is an important component of its future plans.
On 22nd October 2018, ICPE Director General, Dr Anand Asthana along with Mr Nenad Stankovic, visited JSV Giprosvjaz which undertakes R&D and design and exploration under the Ministry of Communications and Informatization of Belarus. ICPE delegation had a meeting with Mr Karaim Andrei, Director and Dr Uladzimir Ivashka, Deputy Director on Research and Development. In the meeting representatives of Giprosvjaz expressed interest for cooperation with ICPE in organizing events related to the human capacity buildings at ICPE headquarters in Slovenia. Same day Dr Asthana and Mr Stanković had a meeting with Prof. Dr Andrej Zenevich, Rector of the Belarusian State Academy of Communications under the Ministry of Communications and Informatization of Belarus, where joint programmes of mutual interest were discussed.
