ICPE meeting with the Directorate for Economic and Public Diplomacy

On Monday, March 17, 2025, the International Center for Promotion of Enterprises (ICPE) hosted a meeting with Ambassador Peter Japelj, Acting Director General at the Directorate for Economic and Public Diplomacy of the Slovenian Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs. During the meeting, ICPE representatives detailed the Center’s initiatives in technology transfer, focusing on developmental projects driven by frugal innovation to enhance sustainable technological capabilities and promote enterprise growth in ICPE member states and other developing countries. Mr. Tavželj and Mr. Tomc also outlined ongoing efforts related to knowledge transfer, including discussions with the OECD regarding a webinar on Guidelines for Corporate Governance of State-Owned Enterprises.

Ambassador Japelj reviewed the information presented and welcomed ICPE’s initiatives with developing countries, emphasizing the importance of such efforts in fostering international collaboration and sustainable growth. He further noted that the Republic of Slovenia is interested in advancing scientific diplomacy as a means to strengthen global innovation and research partnerships. ICPE representatives expressed an optimistic outlook regarding the potential for synergies between its activities and Slovenia’s focus on scientific diplomacy, suggesting that further exploration in this area could be pursued.

The meeting concluded on a positive note, with both parties sharing a sentiment of constructive dialogue and optimism for future engagements.
