Between Monday, 9 May and Friday, 13 May 2016, ICPE organized a one week International Training Programme in Government Accounting & Internal Audit, in cooperation with the National Institute of Financial Management (NIFM), India. 33 senior officers of Government of India participated in the programme accompanied by Mr. Alok Mohan Sherry, NIFM Course Director and Mr. N. K. Sinha, Director, Ministry of Finance, Government of India.
The programme was inaugurated by Dr. Anand N. Asthana, General Director, ICPE and Ambassador of India to Republic of Slovenia. H.E. Mr Sarvajit Chakravarti.
The participants were exposed to best practices within the sphere of Financial Management in the EU and specifically in Slovenia, as well as Public incentives in infrastructure Public-Private Partnership (PPP) projects, Public sector accountancy in the EU, strategic planning of budgeting, The implementation of monetary policy in the Euro area, supervision of state accounts, integrity of public officers and other topics. Visits to Bled, Postojna Cave and Venice were a part of the cultural cluster of the programme.
