On 24 June 2025 the International Center for Promotion of Enterprises (ICPE), in partnership with the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), organized a webinar focused on strengthening corporate governance frameworks within State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs). Participants from ICPE member states, notably Algeria and Zambia, gathered online to examine the revised OECD Guidelines on Corporate Governance of SOEs alongside the complementary Guidelines on Anti-Corruption and Integrity.
The presentation set out the key elements of the revised standards, prompting brief reflections on balancing commercial and policy mandates and on building credible integrity safeguards into daily operations.
ICPE reaffirmed its commitment to supporting member states in their efforts to enhance SOE governance. The Center will keep governments informed of OECD developments, facilitate access to relevant tools and foster collaboration on new initiatives that deliver tangible benefits for national enterprises. Feedback from the webinar will guide the design of future capacity-building programmes and advisory services, ensuring that ICPE’s assistance remains closely aligned with the evolving needs of its membership.
