ICPE Engages in Preparation of Global Gateway Project Proposals

The International Center for Promotion of Enterprises (ICPE) is currently participating in the preparation of several project proposals under the European Union’s Global Gateway programme, the EU’s strategic initiative supporting sustainable infrastructure and investment partnerships with partner countries.

The proposals are being developed under the Global Gateway Early-Stage Investment Mechanism, an instrument designed to support the preparation of infrastructure projects through feasibility studies, pilot demonstrations, technology validation and investment preparation activities.

ICPE is involved as a co-applicant in a number of initiatives currently under preparation together with international technology partners and institutions in partner countries. The concepts under development address key infrastructure challenges in the fields of water management and energy resilience.

Among the initiatives currently being prepared are projects focused on advanced wastewater treatment technologies in Iraq, decentralised wastewater infrastructure solutions in Jordan, modular water treatment systems for water-stressed communities in Kenya, and renewable energy systems aimed at strengthening energy reliability for small and medium-sized enterprises in Zambia.

Project preparation activities are being carried out in coordination with European technology providers and local institutional partners in the respective countries, with the objective of developing pilot implementations and investment frameworks that could support future infrastructure deployment.
