The International Center for Promotion of Enterprises (ICPE) is currently hosting a professional training programme on the »System of Civil Status« in Ljubljana, Slovenia, between December 16 and December 20, 2013. The main goal of the Development Assistance Programme which is organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Slovenia is to present and share the experience of the ICPE member state and host country, Slovenia, in the field of civil status and migration to high-ranking experts of the Government of Afghanistan. The capacity building training, which still needs to be developed in Afghanistan, will contribute to overall good governance, to government efficiency as well as to enhance the effective access to political rights while securing international migration as part of the increasing globalizing trends.
The training programme will offer an overview of the universal legal standards in the field of human rights and migration, ground stones of statistical collection and processing of demographic events, including privacy protection, additionally encompassing basic information about the impact of good service regarding secure border control. The Afghan experts will be acquainted with the Slovenian and international experience and information solutions in selected segments for migration management support through a highly dynamic programme including lectures held by internationally renowned professionals, policy-makers and practitioners alike, in conjunction with study visits to ministries and administrative units dealing with civil status and migration, producers of public documents and IT solution providers.
