SRI LANKA OPENS HONORARY CONSULATE IN LJUBLJANA

Sri Lanka, one of the most active member states of ICPE, established its honorary consulate in Ljubljana on Thursday the 8th of October and appointed Mr Andrej Prebil as the first honorary consul. Sri Lankan Ambassador HE Mr Abdul Azeez mentioned the strengthening of bilateral relations between Sri Lanka and Slovenia as also of increasing involvement of Sri Lanka in the activities of ICPE which was represented in the opening ceremony by the Director General Dr Anand Asthana, Executive Manager Mr Tomaž Rogelj and Programme Manager Dr Suzana Saptefrati. Ambassador Azeez advised DG, ICPE to visit Sri Lanka in December to accelerate joint programmes. The Director General thanked Ambassador Azeez for extraordinary level of support to ICPE and assured him of active collaborating with Sri Lanka in promotion of Small and Medium Enterprises which is the priority of the current government. ICPE has also offered internships to Sri Lankan students.
