ICPE ENGAGES WITH FIPA AND FTC TO PROMOTE FOREIGN DIRECT INVESTMENT AND EXPORT POTENTIAL OF BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA

In a move towards enhancing international cooperation in the region of Western Balkans, the International Center for Promotion of Enterprises (ICPE) held meetings with the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency (FIPA) and the Foreign Trade Chamber (FTC) of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH). These meetings centered around the potential for organizing a joint event aimed at promoting BiH’s foreign direct investment (FDI) projects and presenting its exporting companies to selected investors from the European Union.

During the meeting with FIPA, ICPE proposed two initiatives: an international event in Slovenia focused on attracting foreign investors to BiH, and a tailored matchmaking service between investors and attractive BiH projects. The representative of FIPA Ms Slavica Korica, Assistant Director for Promotion has confirmed that a joint international event might serve as a pilot project for establishing cooperation. In a discussion with the leadership of the FTC the idea of an event in Slovenia emerged again, this time to promote selected BiH products and innovations to targeted benefactors in Slovenia and the European Union. The ICPE has announced a joint promotional event that would include both FIPA and FTC to be organized in Slovenia in the coming future.
