On 9 October 2025, the representatives of International Center for Promotion of Enterprises (ICPE) Mr Jure Tomc, Advisor and Dr Nenad Stanković, Representative in Vienna met with His Excellency Mr Mohammed Hindawi, Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to Austria, to discuss the revitalization of cooperation between ICPE and Jordan. The meeting aimed at identifying concrete project opportunities and exploring a results-oriented partnership centered on technology transfer, sustainable industrial growth, and local implementation. Both sides recognized Jordan’s potential to serve as a regional hub for technological cooperation, with emphasis on manufacturing, innovation, and employment creation.
Particular attention was given to collaboration in the fields of water and waste management, biotechnology, and youth entrepreneurship. ICPE presented its network of European technology providers and outlined opportunities for deploying innovative water-treatment and irrigation technologies tailored to local needs. In biotechnology, a joint initiative was discussed to connect Jordanian research institutions with a European partner specialized in bacteriophage applications for agriculture, poultry, and water treatment.
The Ambassador welcomed ICPE’s approach and expressed interest in developing a structured cooperation framework. It was agreed that ICPE will share detailed project proposals in water and biotechnology, while the Embassy will prepare a concept note identifying key priorities and stakeholders. Both sides also discussed potential funding mechanisms and the organization of mutual visits to strengthen institutional and business linkages between Jordan and Slovenia.
