The Science2Business: Energy Resilience for Enhanced Security event was held on 21–22 April 2026 at the Manila Polo Club in Makati, Philippines, bringing together institutional representatives, experts, researchers, companies, and innovation stakeholders from Slovenia and the Philippines.
The event was organised in partnership with the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia in Manila, Stratbase Institute, the EU Delegation to the Philippines, TECES – Green Tech Cluster of Slovenia, JT Business Development, the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Slovenia, and the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Slovenia.
The programme focused on the role of science, technology, innovation, and business cooperation in strengthening energy resilience and security. Discussions and presentations addressed areas such as energy efficiency, renewable energy, resilient infrastructure, digitalisation, critical systems, cybersecurity, water technologies, hydrogen, advanced materials, and technology-based cooperation.
Slovenian companies and institutions participating in the event included ARGOxr, PEK Automotive, Robotina, Smartis, Waboost, the National Institute of Chemistry, Elektroinštitut Milan Vidmar – EIMV, and TECES – Green Tech Cluster of Slovenia. Their participation reflected the diversity of Slovenia’s technological and research capabilities, ranging from digital knowledge twins, autonomous systems, intelligent control and hybrid power solutions, secure OT/IT integration, nanobubble water technologies, hydrogen and advanced materials research, to electric power systems expertise.
The event also included business-to-business engagement, enabling direct exchanges between Slovenian participants and Philippine counterparts. These discussions provided an opportunity to present practical solutions, better understand local needs, and identify areas where further cooperation may be developed.
ICPE’s participation as a partner reflected its continued role in supporting international cooperation, enterprise development, technology transfer, and practical partnerships between Slovenia, emerging markets, and partner countries. The Manila event offered an important platform for strengthening connections between Slovenian and Philippine stakeholders and for exploring cooperation at the intersection of innovation, energy security, and sustainable development.
