ICPE Explores Project Cooperation in the Republic of the Congo and the Republic of Guinea

On 23 October 2026, representatives of the International Center for Promotion of Enterprises (ICPE), Executive Director Mr David Tavželj and Advisor Mr Jure Tomc, held an online meeting with Mr Roland Menounga, Founder and CEO of MAO Consulting, to discuss opportunities for project cooperation in the Republic of the Congo and the Republic of Guinea.

Building on cooperation with MAO Consulting and its network of local partners, the discussions focused on developing concrete project initiatives and expanding ICPE’s engagement in both Member States, particularly in water management, agriculture and related infrastructure.

In the Republic of the Congo, the proposed initiative centres on agricultural water security and efficient irrigation. The participants discussed further project development, the involvement of suitable technology partners and opportunities to mobilise development financing through relevant funding programmes and mechanisms. As a next step, a meeting will be arranged with the local project partner to examine the technical and financial requirements and advance the preparation of a pilot project.

The meeting also addressed opportunities under Guinea’s Simandou 2040 development programme, particularly in water management and infrastructure. ICPE expressed its interest in contributing to selected project components, drawing on its network of technical partners and cooperation with MAO Consulting. ICPE will formally communicate this interest to the Government of the Republic of Guinea and explore opportunities for further institutional cooperation.
