On Monday, November 13, 2023 a meeting was convened to discuss the India-Slovenia- Science Festival, an upcoming event symbolizing the cooperative spirit in science and innovation between India and Slovenia. The meeting, hosted by the Embassy of India, was chaired by Ambassador Ms. Namrata S. Kumar and saw the participation of representatives from the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia, Slovenian Science Foundation, Jožef Stefan Institute, Space Si, and Nova University.
The discussion emphasised the mutual benefits of knowledge and innovation exchange, laying the groundwork for future collaborative endeavours. Set for February 6, 2024, at the Jožef Stefan Institute in Ljubljana, the first India-Slovenia-European Science Festival will be a unique blend of academic discourse and cultural exchange. This event marks a significant milestone in the Indo-Slovenian collaboration journey in science and innovation.
In the aftermath of the meeting, the ICPE proposed to organise a workshop titled ‘Innovative Futures: Slovenia-India Young Professionals’ Workshop on Science and Technology.’ This initiative is geared towards postgraduate innovators and entrepreneurs from both countries. The workshop aims to foster a creative and collaborative environment, with a focus on practical skill development, interactive discussions, and networking opportunities.
