The International Center for Promotion of Enterprises (ICPE) organized a two-day workshop on Intellectual Property Commercialisation on 29–30 September 2025 at Jable Castle in Mengeš. The programme was conducted within the framework of the Algerian Startup Learning Expedition Program 2025 in organization by Algeria Venture, and brought together representatives from the Algerian startup community. The inauguration included a welcome address by Ms. Karin Žvokelj, Director of the Slovenian Intellectual Property Office.
The workshop addressed key dimensions of intellectual property management, including commercialisation pathways, licensing, confidentiality, contract negotiation, and patent search strategies. The sessions examined the link between IP, innovation, and market competitiveness, equipping participants with practical tools to strengthen the positioning of their ventures in the global arena.
This workshop underlines ICPE’s commitment to providing member states with targeted capacity-building in areas critical to enterprise development and competitiveness. By facilitating knowledge transfer and enhancing expertise in intellectual property management, ICPE contributes to creating enabling environments for startups and small and medium-sized enterprises to expand and succeed internationally.
