On Friday, 27 June 2026, Mr David Tavželj, ICPE Executive Director, met with Mr Marko Gajić, Co-Founder of the Bled Water Forum, to sign a Memorandum of Understanding between the two organisations.
The MoU establishes a framework for cooperation in the fields of water governance, water innovation, capacity development and the responsible deployment of water-related technologies. For ICPE, the cooperation provides an important channel for identifying relevant water-sector expertise and technological solutions that may be considered within ICPE’s development-oriented project activities for its Member States and partner countries.
The cooperation envisaged under the MoU includes the joint preparation and implementation of training programmes, executive workshops and short-term capacity-building activities in the field of water. It also provides a basis for the co-design of project concepts and pilot initiatives addressing sustainable water management, digitalisation of water systems, climate resilience, wastewater treatment and efficient water use.
Through this cooperation, ICPE will be able to constructively engage with Bled Water Forum’s water-sector knowledge base and network, while supporting the responsible introduction of suitable technologies through dialogue with public institutions, utilities, regulatory authorities, development agencies and other relevant stakeholders in its member states and partner countries.
The signing of the MoU reflects ICPE’s broader commitment to translating knowledge, technology and institutional cooperation into practical development initiatives in areas of direct relevance to its Member States, including water security, resilience and sustainable infrastructure.
