ICPE will engage actively with the Slovenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) in channelling Slovenian and EU aid to developing countries. Stronger ties will be built with Centre for European Perspectives (CEP). This was decided in meetings DG, ICPE had with State Secretary, MFA Ms Darja Bavdaž Kuret and with Deputy Minister and State Secretary Ms Dragoljuba Benčina. DG, ICPE thanked MFA for selecting ICPE’s proposal out of various proposals submitted to the Ministry under the Emerging Donors’ Challenge Fund to be posed to USAID.
Earlier, DG, ICPE was invited to Jable Castle by Dr Stanislav Raščan, Head of the Department for strategic studies and analyses who presented the workof the Department and discussed possible cooperation with India. A book edited by the noted diplomat, jurist and scholar Dr Ernest Petrič was presentedby Dr Raščan to DG, ICPE. During the meeting Executive Director, CEP, Dr. Gorazd Justinek pointed out that CEP is engaged in several projects in developing countries which are member countries of ICPE. There is scope for cooperation in the field of enterprise development in these countries.
