On 24 June 2026, ICPE representatives Mr David Tavželj, ICPE Executive Director, Mr Jure Tomc, MBA, ICPE Advisor, and Dr Nenad Stanković, ICPE Representative in Vienna, met with H.E. Samia Ilhem Ammar, Ambassador of the Republic of Tunisia to the Republic of Austria and Permanent Representative to the International Organisations in Vienna.
Tunisia holds an important place in ICPE’s institutional history as one of the founding Member States of the Organisation. The meeting therefore provided an opportunity to renew working contacts and to identify practical areas where cooperation could be re-established and further developed.
Following the presentation of ICPE’s current work programme, the discussion focused on areas of mutual interest and possible future engagement. Ambassador Ammar highlighted energy solutions, infrastructure projects and the blue economy as priority fields in which ICPE may prepare working proposals and explore cooperation with relevant partners.
It was agreed that ICPE would provide supplemental documentation to the Embassy for its kind perusal and for further consideration of possible areas of cooperation. The discussion also confirmed a shared interest in strengthening working contacts between ICPE and Tunisia, particularly through the identification of practical cooperation opportunities aligned with Tunisia’s priorities and ICPE’s project-oriented programme approach.
